Postal Service Files Notice with PRC for a Pre-Filing Conference Related to Delivering for America Plan

Washington, DC Today the Postal Service filed notice with the Postal Regulatory Commission (https://prc.arkcase.com/portal/docket-search/daily-listings/filing-details/130212) of its intention to host a pre-filing conference in reference to certain aspects of the Delivering for America plan. The pre-filing conference will take place on September 5, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.  The Postal Service’s notice of a pre-filing conference is the first step in the process of requesting an advisory opinion. The Postal Regulatory Commission is an independent federal agency that provides regulatory oversight over the Postal Service to ensure the transparency and accountability of the Postal Service and foster a vital  and efficient universal mail system. The Commission is comprised of five presidentially appointed and Senate-confirmed Commissioners, each serving terms of six years. The President designates the Chairman. In addition to Chairman Michael Kubayanda, the other commissioners are Vice Chairman Tom Day and Commissioners Ann Fisher, Ashley Poling, and Robert Taub.
